On 15 December 2024, the annual reunion organised by Hansraj Model School Alumni Association (HRMSAA) unfolded at The Heritage Grand, Britannia Chowk, transforming the venue into a hub of memories, connections, and mirth. The event was graced by distinguished guests such as Dr. Vikas Garg, Mr. Vikram Garg, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Mr. Pradeep Kumar, and Mr. Maninderjit Singh Sethi. Generous sponsorships by Dr. Vikas Garg, Mr. Vikram Garg, Mr. Maninderjit Singh Sethi, and chief guest Mr. Pradeep Kumar helped make the event fancy and delightful.

Each year, HRMSAA endeavours to add a new dimension to its existence. This year, as part of the several forward-thinking initiatives led by President Arush Kumar Malhotra, with the support of Co-founder Deepak Dharmarha, the association achieved a significant milestone. Esteemed chief guest Mr. Pradeep Kumar, with the click of a button, officially launched the alumni website. As the digital curtains lifted, Mr. Deepak Dharmarha navigated the audience through the new platform, highlighting its significance as a tool for connecting alumni and strengthening the school’s global community.

Mr. Dharmarha credited Priyanka Banerjee (Class of 1998) for her instrumental role in the project. From conceptualisation to curation of the layout and content, Mr. Dharmarha highlighted how she single-handedly brought the website to life. This led her to earn praise from all present, including cheers from her teammates across the stage. The website ushers in a new chapter for HRMSAA; hrmsalumni.com would be a place where lifelong learning, communication, and leadership can thrive. The effort was met with applause and enthusiasm from the Managing Committee Members, including Vice President Jagdish Ahuja, General Secretary Kunal Khanna, Treasurer Jagrit Mahajan, and Patrons Dinesh Chopra (also Co-Founder) and Manmohan Krishan.

This year’s reunion also witnessed current teachers and supervisory heads from the school actively participating—a tradition long absent. The event highlighted the connection between the school and HRMSAA, applauded by the current principal Mrs. Hemal Bhatt, encouraging the association’s ongoing efforts.

The heart of the reunion was the camaraderie between alumni and teachers. A guessing game ensued where teachers identified former students, underscoring the bond between them and their pupils and resulting in superb photos. Special moments included a ceremony honouring retired teachers for their contributions with gifts. Even some standout members of the executive and working committee were bestowed with mementoes by the HRMSAA president, a small token of appreciation.

Entertainment peaked with performances that captivated everyone. Richa Sharma and Mayank Manchanda, two of the school’s singing stars, took the stage with their captivating Hindi songs, giving everyone present a reason to tap their feet and sing along. Initiated by Priyanka Kapoor and Neha Rawal Hans, along with Manan Koul and others, there were the Na-Real awards! That was an on-the-spot contest for some surprising titles ranging from looks to knowledge and even maximum credit cards. The awardees bagged the prizes with overwhelming fervour.

All in all, the gathering was a vibrant mix, with pass-outs from as far back as 1977 mingling effortlessly with the newest batch. Conversations flowed freely as old friends reconnected, shared updates on their lives, and reminisced about the golden days of school. Tales of pranks and shared experiences filled the air. Laughter echoed throughout, and the unmistakable feeling of nostalgia made the day truly unforgettable.

As the day drew to a close, with a scrumptious array of snacks, lunch, and drinks, everyone basked in the warmth of the sunny afternoon. In the end, the 2024 Hansraj Model School reunion was more than just a party—it was a heartfelt reunion of friends, teachers, and alumni, all coming together to celebrate the past, present, and future of this school.
